This happened to me! I took a social media/marketing class and we had a guest speaker talk to us about gifs. We were supposed to follow along and create our own to submit as an in-class assignment.

For another class, I recently took a trip to New York and had a bunch of pictures on my Instagram. I used those photos to create a gif collage.

A week later, I had a zero for that assignment. When I asked my professor, he said he didn't believe I created that content. I had to send him a link to my Instagram and tell him about the class trip before he would adjust my grade.

What irritated me the most was that he didn't even talk to me about it. He just assumed and gave me a zero.

i had a professor who ONLY allowed us to use this one book as a source for our final essay, the topic for which was the same for absolutely everyone.

the monday after we turned it in, the professor’s miserable ass came in demanding to know why every single person in the class (about 20 of us) got together and wrote our essays together and thought she wouldn’t notice that we had all copied each other.

somehow, she didn’t realize that giving us a topic that wasn’t really up for personal interpretation and a single book to use as a source was gonna get her 20 identical essays.

I got in trouble for plagiarism for including a citation where I quoted a prominent figure. In a paper about said prominent figure. Despite including quotations, an in text citation, a proper mla bibliography and paraphrasing said quote....
