i love that they use numbers from your area code to try and make it look like a local call and not a robocall. I haven't lived in the area code of my phone number for about 12 years. Makes it so easy to ignore those calls

What's crazy is that my friend works as 911 dispatch and they get 10-12 robo-calls a day. Even the police can't do anything about it.

The call screening capability in the current Android version (maybe just Pixel phones?) has all but solved this for me.

I hit that button if it's an unrecognized number. You can watch text for what the assistant is telling the caller, and then you see the text for their response. At that point you can pick up the call, drop it, or report it as spam.
