I can personally confirm this is still costing them money today. Last time I flew I had a choice between delta and United, same price, same time. I chose delta because of this song.
IIRC They begged him to remove the song from YouTube and he wouldnt. They finally paid for his guitar after a literal year of saying "not our fault" and then asked him to take the video down one last time. He left it up. I don't blame him.
