Since my last 8k image went over so well, I thought I'd try another with the supermoon last night. The clouds broke just long enough for me to get this. This is a composite- I used different settings for the clouds and the moon, but this is very close to how it looked through the eyepiece of my telescope last night.

Equipment:

Orion XT10

Skywatcher eq6-r pro

ZWO asi 224mc

Sony a7ii

Process:

Clouds, moon position and orientation captured with the Sony, Detail on the lunar surface captured with the zwo and aligned with the Sony data and added as an HDR layer. Minor contrast/color adjustments in photoshop.

You have my blessing to use this as a wallpaper if you like it. For any other use please DM me.

For more moon pics- find me on instagram @cosmic_background. I give live updates during my projects and share tips in my stories!

Wow this looks amazing, I studied it for a good bit trying to find the "send nudes" but it's a genuine great photo lol.
