Just the other day I was at a deli ordering some food, but in one ear listening to a pod cast about space exploration advancements.
Anyway, the guy at the counter ask me what I was listening to, after I told him. He told me I had a beautiful mind, and asked me what I liked to read. As we discussed he said he was proud of me and hoped I did well in whatever goals I wanted to achieve
In my experience working at different schools, I've found that custodians, groundskeepers, and so on, are disproportionately more likely to be nice and friendly people. I wonder why.

A few days back I saw a til about the word 'sonder,' meaning "that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own."
There should be another word for people that realize that, and do something about it. Fuckin heroes
