This is why as a kid when you play the sick card you have to commit to it no matter what. My parents tried that trick a few times to see if I was faking. Too bad they raised a good liar.
For years in elementary and middle school I would feel sick and nauseated and occasionally throw up in the mornings. After I used up all of my sick days I had to get a doctors note to stay home. Not being able to describe what I was feeling my doctor just said I had “school phobia” and that I forced myself to throw up and then he made my parents send me to school. Finally in high school I went to a new doctor and they said it was lactose intolerance and that eating cereal every morning is what made me sick.
