This concept applies to a lot of things. Being organized or professional isn’t white. Being shady or taking advantage of people isn’t black. This kind of thinking needs to change.
I am a teacher. One of my 5th grade students was brilliant. However, he had to act like he wasn't otherwise his brothers and friends would gang up on him and tell him to stop acting white.
