True story. I took Honors English classes, the teacher told us once about how he did a college project on garbage men. Interviewed them and such. Called, scheduled appointments, went to their homes.
He told us, bunches of times: "You wanna make money? Go be garbagemen. Those guys make loads of money and only work a few hours a day."
I shit you not, that teacher's son (at the time he was 10, now just under 30) is now a garbageman. Happily, I might add.
"Jobs that pay well are either hard to put up with or hard to get in to." For being a garbage man, based off my 4 years of interviewing them, it's the former.
