It's well known that where I go to uni in Australia that the foreign students who have to pay up front get pushed through more to encourage more of them to come. Money talks.
When I was younger I always thought this is how college admission worked - if you could afford the tuition, you could go wherever you wanted, only the lower/middle class folks had to take tests and apply to get in. Jokes on me, I still had to pay 😅
