A former school secretary in Oklahoma was reportedly arrested after police said that she engaged in a sexual relationship with a student for two years, who is now 14-year-old.

The secretary, identified as 29-year-old Elizabeth Madrid, was slapped with at least nine charges of second-degree child rape on Friday and 21 additional counts of performing lewd acts with a child.

According to Bethany Police, the former secretary at Western Oaks Elementary School began engaging with the victim over text messages with the victim in early 2017. Officials claimed that the 29-year-old and the student first became physical last summer and continued their affair until her arrest last week.

Officials conducted a search of Madrid's home after they received a tip that the victim had been living with her for two weeks, according to a search warrant affidavit. The documents suggested that the victim's mother thought that her son had been living with his father all this time, the Daily Mail reported.

Reports state that the mother later contacted the father and discovered that the student had not been staying with him.

Lieutenant Angelo Orefice of Bethany Police, while talking to News 4, said: "He was a student at the time. Eventually, it became a sexual relationship in June or July, 2018."

"Everything is a case by case basis. It just depends on the severity of the relationship, so to speak. So, it’s not unordinary to have a lot of charges like this," the officer said.

The 29-year-old former secretary worked with the Putnam City school from August 2016 until she eventually resigned in May last year.

Reports state that the school district's communication police forbids teachers, coaches and staff members from texting students on a personal basis. There are exceptions made only when the issue at hand is confidential, medical or a crisis, even in these circumstances, senior officials at the school must be informed beforehand of it.

Madrid was taken to the Oklahoma County jail where she remains in custody on a $550,000 bail bond, according to reports.

I dont understand how any grown adult could want a relationship with a child in the first place. 12 year olds are fucking annoying.

So this female teacher / child student relationship is a "thing." I am really curious as to what the psychology behind this is. It seems to follow the same pathway every time in that it's not a serial assault but a teacher grooming a young boy to be her long term partner.

Being charged with a crime isn't justice. Being rightfully convicted is.
