Very nicely put, I've noticed this recently as I became very good friends with a girl I used to work with, several male coworkers asked me if we had been sleeping together.
This was solely because we had been hanging out a lot and enjoying each other's company at work. She does have a boyfriend (great guy BTW, practically runs a bar so a lot of cheap booze for me) whose company I enjoy as well.
Personally I had never connected with a girl in this manner before, a lot of of them I previously did what the post above describes to them, in later years I've learned the value I put in the existing relationships however. This friend of mine after 2 months already feels as close to me as like a sister or something, it's great and I strongly recommend trying to make connections like this one.

I can absolutely imagine a situation where a woman would feel this way. I know it's satire but I can't help but empathize with her.
