Luke Perry is dead at the age of 52, days after suffering a massive stroke at his home in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

Luke passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank. "He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends," his rep said in a statement.

Paramedics responded to the home of the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star on Wednesday, February 27 and transported him to a nearby hospital. Perry had been busy at work on "Riverdale," on which he plays the father to Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). According to TMZ, he had recently filmed scenes for the CW show on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles.

Perry's career began in the late '80s, with appearances on "Another World" and in the Twisted Sister music video for "Be Chrool to Your Scuel," before his big break as Dylan McKay on "90210." He appeared on 199 of the show's 293 episodes in a role that quickly made him a teen heartthrob of the '90s.

While starring on the Fox series, he also appeared in films including "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "8 Seconds," before taking a hiatus from "90210." During that time he appeared in "Invasion" and "The Fifth Element," before eventually returning to the primetime soap until its series finale.

He would later have an arc on "Oz," star on the Showtime series "Jeremiah" and HBO's "John from Cincinnati," before getting cast as Fred Andrews on "Riverdale," a role which found him renewed popularity.

He's set to appear in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," which will be released July 26, 2019.

In the early 90’s, I was visiting my friend who lived on her sailboat in Marina del Rey. Hungover one morning, we hear someone get on the boat and it started moving and making waves.

Angry, we stumbled out to find out who was torturing us. It was Luke Perry! They were filming in the marina and he was wandering around killing time.

He was so nice and he felt so bad that he went and got us a giant cooler full of food from Craft Services.

RIP, Luke Perry.

When you are young, 52 seems so far away. 52 must be “old”.

I turn 51 tomorrow. I watched 90210 when I was younger. I watch Riverdale now.

52 doesn’t feel “old” to me now. It is pretty much the same age as me, and I feel pretty much the same now as I did when I was younger.

The big difference is that I start seeing more people my age dying. Several people I went to high school with have passed away.

It’s a reminder that we never know how much time we will be given. Enjoy life while you have it to enjoy.

Edit: Thank you for the gold and silver. Muchly appreciated. Also, added a missing word.

Didn't realize he was 52. Still, that's a young age to die. RIP Luke.
