I used to deliver for Uber eats. I once delivered a large sprite from McDonalds to some dude and I got paid $8 for it. I have no idea how much that guy paid. The funny thing is, I could almost see McDonalds from his house, he lived that close. I always thought Uber was using their equity to subsidize Uber eats in order to put competitors out of business because who would pay more than $8 for a sprite?
If I had a nickel for every time I started a delivery order with one of those apps, only to change my mind by the time I get to the part where you see all the fees... it would probably cover the delivery fees.
