This is a pretty old pic. Some of those buildings have been rehabbed, others razed. Not that Detroit is all smiles, but it's a lot less abandoned feeling around downtown than it used to be.

Old photo, old Detroit. That house front and center was renovated and recently sold for $2.65 million.
