I... I'm ashamed to admit I had a hard time getting to high hrothgar because I tried to follow the marker on a straight line. Lets just say climbing the throat of the world proved a bit difficult and I gave up on that quest for a looong time.

One of my clearest memories of Morrowind is following directions for a quest to a Dwemer ruin and exploring the entire place, but not finding out what I went there for. Then looking it up online and finding out I'm in the wrong ruin, it's like a bit more northeastish.

Then exploring that entire thing up and down and still not finding what I'm looking for. So I look it up again and find out what I was after is on a crate by the entrance.
