This happened to my cousin. She left school halfway through her final year because she was offered a good job (hard to come by in her area of the country). She was super efficient and could get through all the work the lady she replaced did in an entire day before lunch. So she went to her manager and asked if she could help out elsewhere, her reward was being sacked “because we don’t really have enough work to justify keeping you”.
