Found inside a bathroom above the shower in the extractor pipe. Not sure what it is is it just a sensor or maybe a camera? Dont want to assume the worst but need to know.

If it is setup as an ip camera then it could be connecting to a nearby wireless network and no one would ever need to come and check it.

It's a board camera. I would stay there and call the police to you. Don't leave and allow the camera owner to come and steal it back.
