The Daily Populous Tuesday January 1st, 2019 day edition
Old one but a "good" one: teenager gets heart transplant after initially being denied one due to his criminal record and a history of non-compliance. Two years later, he steals a car, robs an eldery woman and dies in a car crash while fleeing police.
Federal records show that 3,400 people were on waiting lists for heart transplants in 2012, but only 2,000 of these procedures were performed. While waiting for a heart transplant, 331 people died.
I know it's hard to tell what someone will do in the future but someone died waiting for a heart that was instead given to this person. This is beyond infuriating.

I really really hope the donor's family doesn't know where their family member's heart went.
