Don't get me wrong it's great that they've all been adopted but hopefully all to well vetted and caring families. Here in the UK a lot of charities won't let you adopt a dog in December because so many people get their kids a dog for Christmas which comes back to them by February or worse is just dumped. Last year one charity I work with had 7 dogs under a year old given to us because people took them in for Christmas and didn't realise how much effort having a dog really is
