I was the onboard diver on a fast attack and I never got a swim call. I was either manning the M-14, or had full dive gear on to go after someone in distress. Worst feeling was wearing a 5/8" neoprene wetsuit in the middle of summer at the equator while guys were enjoying a swim call. Best part was that we got to fire a shitload of rounds for practice prior to swim call. Your old man was on a boomer.
