It took me over 160 hours, but I finished knitting my brother's Christmas present this morning! Just in time.

Here's an album of progress shots (and more cat tax.)

And here's the original artwork I adapted to make into a blanket.

Edit: FAQ

Is the artwork yours?

No, I did not create the original awesome, spooky, pixel deer piece (link above). However, I did change/adapt it to fit the needs of my blanket.

Is it knitted or crocheted?

It's knitted. I used size 13 needles, bernat blanket yarn, and garter stitch all the way. I knitted the blanket in 75 separate horizontal strips, each made of 75 "pixels". Each pixel consists of 3 stitches and 4 rows of knitting. Then I sewed all 75 strips together using a mattress stitch.

Can you share the pattern?

Yes! I will link the color grid I made once I'm back at my computer. Possibly tomorrow.

Do you sell these?

Not really, no. If you want to learn to knit for yourself, there are many tutorials online to teach you the basics. But for materials and my time, making these as commissions would be crazy expensive. A couple thousand at least.

Are you a boy or a girl?

I am a girl :)
