I'll be spending the majority of Christmas alone, minus dinner with a friend. But that's quite all right.

My family is 1,200 miles away. Every year I spend at least Thanksgiving or Christmas/New Years with them. It's expensive, stressful, and most of the time I still don't see them all because someone is being a dick. This year I said "fuck it, I'm staying home" and it's been peaceful as fuck. I actually get to enjoy my holiday time off without worrying about traveling or what's going on at home while I'm away. Sometimes you just gotta do you for you own sanity.

Being alone isn't shit if you aren't lonely 👍

Merry Christmas, have a great one

One year I was living with a roommate that had to work on both Xmas eve and Boxing Day so he decided not to drive 5 hours to his parents and was going to stay home alone and chill. I decided that no one should spend Christmas alone so I told my parents I was staying as well. On Xmas morning I rolled 2 joints, we wake and baked and stayed high all day playing Mario Kart Double Dash and had feasted on Swanson turkey dinners. It was the best Christmas I’ve ever had.
