An interesting point about the north star: your latitude in the northern hemisphere coincides with how many degrees above the horizon the north star appears. For example if you are at latitude 45N it is 45 degrees above the horizon. If you travel towards the north pole and are at 80N it will be 80 degrees above the horizon. At the north pole it would be directly above you. As you travel south it appears lower and lower in the sky and at the equator would be right at the horizon. All of this is due to the spherical nature of the earth and is impossible to explain if the earth is a flat plane.

People knew this thousands of years ago, and if these flat earthers would crawl out of their mom's basement they would easily be able to see the nature of reality for themselves. These people act like you have to take some huge leap of faith and believe the government in order to trust that the earth is round... Go buy a telescope dummies!

The only thing flat earthers have to fear is sphere itself.

You can't see the north star from Australia because Australia doesn't exists.
