I just got a $236 ticket for riding an electric scooter without a helmet. It goes 11mph max and I can get my bicycle up to 35mph down hill. No helmet required. At least weeds legal here tho.
Paid $1500 in fines and a mandatory DARE contribution for getting caught with $5 worth of weed. That was 19 years ago and it still comes up from time to time in background checks and whatnot.

I got a $600 fine for drinking a beer around a camp fire when I was 20. Our system is definitely broken.
