I think the guy's sign is a bit absurd in a "I'm 14 and this is deep" way. Of course you have to work to live, that's the case with all animals.

But on the flip side, I don't think it's an unreasonable stance to say that a civilized society should rise above nature and our primitive states. Especially since the next logical leap from that is "okay, if the rich are going to hoard wealth, I am going to go murder them and take it from them because it's just nature bro." If we are all going to agree to this social contract to be empathetic and loving humans we need to agree to an economic system that fits those values.

I kinda get it. Working directly with nature to feed yourself can seem much more fulfilling. Plus studies of modern tribal cultures find that people on average work 2-4 hours per day. That's pretty chill. Most employers in modern industry for the average person don't offer such few hours or autonomy to be able to live day to day. You typically have to work 40 hours a week and do it exactly how they want it. It is different.
