image for Michigan couple: Priest, 'bully' coach ruined our son's funeral

DETROIT – They lost a teenage son to suicide, then sought compassion from their priest.

They want their parish priest removed from his post in Monroe County, south of Detroit.

The priest told mourners at the funeral that the youth might be blocked from heaven because of how he died, the couple said.

Still, the Hullibargers said the rude incident with the coach pales beside the spate of jarring words they heard from their parish priest.

Maison Hullibarger, whose family objected to the references to suicide made by their priest at the 18-year-old's funeral on Dec. 8, 2018, is shown in a high school photo.

"I had words prepared, but when (the priest) was done, he was going to finish mass without giving anybody else the opportunity to say anything.

As the casket was wheeled out, the couple told the priest he was not welcome at their son's burial. »

Spanish prosecutors have charged the Colombian singer and philanthropist Shakira with tax evasion, alleging she avoided €14.5m (£13m) in taxes by claiming to live in the Bahamas while actually resident in Catalonia.

Shakira changed residences in 2015 from the Bahamas to Barcelona, where she lives with her partner, the Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué, and the couple’s two sons.

But prosecutors allege that she was already living in the Catalan capital between 2012 and 2014, and should have paid tax on her worldwide income for those years in Spain. »

If this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role.".

Graham later compared Trump to former President Bill Clinton, who was impeached after he was found to have lied about his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. »
