Driving to work near Dulles Airport and a part fell off a plane smashed my back window. I freaked out because i thought someone was shooting at me. Guy behind me saw something fall from sky.
There's a website that tracks airline flight paths. If you know the exact time it happened and your exact location, it might tell you which plane the part fell off of. But don't delay checking. I don't know how long they keep the data.
If you can pinpoint the airplane, I'm sure the company will be very quick to offer you a settlement.
