See, I thought it was the "or moved" aspect of this policy, but the removal fee is a dick move to complicate their policy.

When I was a stupid kid, I opened a water bottle that was in a hotel room to see if it was sparkling water. It was, and I closed it again.

When the whole class was about to leave the hotel (school trip) they found out someone had used a water bottle and wanted to keep our caution - which was 50€ each (which btw we weren't warned of in advance. That was a whole other mess). Luckily, I and everyone else kept our mouths shut and they let it go. It was like a 1 dollar item, it was probably not worth traumatizing a bunch of children over.

edit: whoops, this kinda exploded. Sorry, "caution" means deposit here. My German-speaking brain took over there :)

Tell them you need to store medication in the fridge and that they need to make room for it for health reasons. Lets see them argue to charge you for that
