I have a coworker like this. She “rescues” dogs as a hobby with the intention of training and rehabilitating them, despite not really having the knowledge or skills to do so. A few months after bringing a new project dog home, she manages to find another and the previous dog gets put on the back burner.
The end result is that she has a house full of dogs who all get limited exercise and attention because they don’t get along. Her children have been bitten multiple times. I think she at least partially enjoys complaining about how tough she has it to anyone who’ll listen.

Don't get a fricken animal unless you fully commit to it's whole life! What an asshole. I hope she got roasted on her post for this.
