Listen, I work in an industrial plant as a maintenance tech. If assistants or other techs ask me about a specific part or tool, I almost always know where it is. Once the supervisor looked around when I was building a part, for about an hour, before I asked what he needs. "Do we have a sheet metal cutting tool? Like a nibbler?"
To which I said, yeah, it's right here. Turned around and pulled one off the shelf. Him and the new tech where both amazed! How'd you possibly know where that was!
Truth is, I was fucking around making sounds with it earlier in the month, put it back, and remembered fucking with it. And I fuck with everything, so I know where everything is, what fits in what, and how all our shit REALLY works
Actually comes in handly.
TLDR: I screw around with everything and it helps me professionally
