You can still make gay/trans jokes, people have just caught on that it’s not a joke in itself so it’s not funny.

Those people will act like you don't have the right to be offended by something that targets your sexual orientation or gender identity, but try calling them ''ignorant'' or ''weak'' and see what happens.
