Funny thing is octoroks weren't too bad to deal with in other Zelda games, they are usually just mildly annoying. But octoroks put marksmen in the water for BotW because I don't understand how if I am running, they can still pelt me.
Their accuracy isn't what frustrated me in BotW, it was their range of engagement. I could get past the river, over a nearby hill and behind a tree, and they'd still be arching shots over at me, when neither of us have visibility.
