My brother is my hero. He was born with cerebral palsy and continues to crush his goals. He worked for a company for 11 years and has recently “retired” at 34, living off of his rental properties.

Damn. I’m 33 and on my... 8th attempt at an Associate’s degree. I think I have a new role model

Edit: I like how some of you assume it has to do with intelligence. For those who aren’t presumptuous assholes, thanks for the support!

Edit 2: this blew up way more than I intended. I’m not trying to take the focus away from a pretty accomplished individual, regardless of his circumstances.

Our will has no bounds. I learned this at 13 when my mom married a quadriplegic man. He'd been shot accidentally at 12 and paralyzed from the chest down but still went on to become a hippie and travel the US, go to college, work for NASA, was the Federal Handicapped employee of the year, and became the best stepdad a kid could have. Congrats to your bro on all his success!

Looks like he's about to run for governor.
