She was probably thinking that this guy obviously didn't care about her enough to at least put his rubbish out before she came over for her first visit.
Am I the only person who's scared to touch other people's stuff while in their house without being asked or like another explicit form of permission? I could do things wrong, touch something wrong, leave that in the wrong place. It's just to much stress.
