Earlier this month, Martin Lawrence himself confirmed on Instagram that he will once again return to the Bad Boys franchise with Will Smith for Sony’s Bad Boys 3. Now, it looks like the project is all set to roll the cameras on the start of next year.
Production Weekly’s recent listings reveal the threequel’s official title as ‘Bad Boys For Lif3’. The title in whole identifies the movie as the third installment of the franchise. Sony is yet to confirm the title.
Bad Boys For Lif3 is expected to begin production on January 14 and is expected to wrap on April 11. Atlanta and Miami are the two locations where the project is expected to shot.
Bad Boys 3 will be directed by Adi El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a script penned by Chris Bremner. At the moment, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are the only two cast members mentioned for the project. but if the movie is expected to start filming early next year then fans can expect announcements to roll out any day in the following months.
Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the movie. Other names such as Melissa Reid, Chad Oman and Doug Belgrad are also listed under the producer title.
A rumored synopsis from ThatHashtagshow revealed that Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett will be shown working as a private eye after having a falling out with Smith’s Mike Lowery who is also going through a midlife crisis as a bachelor. This info is still yet to be confirmed by Sony.
The two are brought together when a lean, mean, skilled Albanian mercenary with a vendetta puts a death bounty on the two for killing his brother. The project has a budget of over $100 million to burn out on for their car chase and explosion scenes.
Bad Boys 3 will hit theatres on January 17, 2020.
