A couple years back, someone in my class threatened to shoot up the school. I reported them to the administration, but I specifically asked to remain anonymous.
Me and the classmate were called up to the office. They let him know I was the one who reported them. The student was not expelled or even suspended - in fact, he received no punishment.
He absolutely resented me throughout that school year. I didn't talk to him often; when we made eye contact, he gave the most aggressive looks.
I also need to mention that this was at a private school.
