When I was "randomly selected," it was after the security check. I came out past the security metal detectors and went to get my stuff. I put my belt on and put things back inside my bags, and started walking out. Some security woman with a rifle stopped me and took me aside and started questioning me.
But fucking stupid shit like:
Her: Are you travelling alone?
Me: No I'm with my friends
Her: Well where are they then?
I'm travelling with like 8 others so they're all dotted around going through security themselves or waiting at the end
Me: Some are over there, and there... and there.
Her: Why aren't you with them?
Me thinking to myself: Stay calm... pointing out how fucking retarded she is will only end badly for you.
