Taken earlier this week in the Cascades. This was looking southeast, I believe. The mountain in the background is Mount Stuart, second highest non-volcanic peak in the entire Cascade Range, standing at 9415 ft (2870m). I slept up here with a friend of mine, no tent, only sleeping bags and pads. A really amazing way to end the snow free hiking season (the area is getting dumped on this week).

If you're interested in hiking or backpacking here, check out the Washington Trails Association. Super great resource. You can search by trail features, length, elevation, etc. If you visit, please pack out your trash and practice the Leave No Trace principles, helps keep our state clean and beautiful for others to enjoy!

Those two congregated snow piles looks like the eyes of a wolf.
