The Faroe Islands is an archipelago made up of 18 very small and rugged islands found in the North Atlantic Ocean. The islands have absolutely insane weather patterns that will change without a moments notice. I spent about a week there this time last year, and it would hail at least 5x a day, with heavy sets of rain clouds coming and going constantly. Though with scenes like this, it's well worth sticking it through the brutal weather.

This is Lake Sørvágsvatn. While incredibly impressive in its own right, this lake is actually just about at at sea level. The cliffs you see are at the end of some pretty steep hills, and the photos are taken in a way that the slope of the hills isn't visible. Here is a page with a better look at them:
