Seriously. She could've been a diplomat that was openly against the empire and assassinated but nope, she dies of sadness. Literally in all three movies she was a senator so the backstory is there.
Edit: if Palpatine did use the force to transfer life from Padme to Anakin, don't you think that maybe master Yoda, one of the Jedi councils most powerful jedi, would be able to sense it and can tell what happened to her? He was able to feel the betrayal of the clones from across the galaxy so it wouldn't be out of the question to assume that he could. Also Obiwan would've also been able to tell that it wasn't just birth complications.
