We started a war of independence over taxes that would be considered low by today's standards.
I'm not a single issue voter, but I won't blame people for voting in their own self interest. It would be a pleasant change.

Why is it wrong? The whole point of Representative Democracy is that you elect people to represent your interests. The Republicans didn't so you're voting for someone who will.
