A woman has opened up about how she used smoothies to fatten up her bridesmaids before her wedding day.

Penny says she made a special smoothie for her sisters, who would be bridesmaids at her wedding, every morning. They never knew what was in it or that the intention was to make them fat.

The bride told Whimn that she and her sisters had always been competitive.

She admitted she had been planning her wedding for a long time and knew she would get "a little bridezilla-ish" but not even she could have predicted how far she'd go for her dream day.

"I always felt like Jan Brady in the middle – I wasn't as hot and popular as my older sister and I wasn't as cute and fun as my younger sister. I was just Penny in the middle. But I found a man who loved me for me and I couldn't be happier," she said.

"With all the planning, and after meeting with the photographer and discussing dresses with my sisters, I started to think about what my wedding photos were going to look like. Well, probably the more correct statement would be that I started to obsess over them."

This is where things started to go wrong.

Penny says she wanted her two sisters to look "as ordinary as possible".

"We're all fair-skinned and blonde, and I demanded that the bridesmaid dresses wore a neon yellow that made them look washed out and slightly ill. I told them I was going for a fun, party look but I was thrilled that colour made them both look pallid.

"But by far the worst thing I did was to fatten up my sisters in the months leading up to the wedding. Every morning I was a picture of sunshine and morning glow as I insisted on making breakfast smoothies for everyone. I told them I wanted us all to look our best on the big day, so I was making them this special slimming smoothie," she confessed.

While her sisters' smoothies had fattening ingredients, Penny's smoothie was only fruit and coconut water.

"By the time my wedding rolled around, each of my sisters had to have their dress altered to accommodate their thickening waistlines."

She admits to feeling slightly guilty whenever she looks at her wedding photos.

When I was in college I used a new curling iron before going out for a friends birthday. She started crying and yelled “Why are you trying to look prettier than me on my birthday?!” She wasn’t happy until she put on the shirt I was wearing, and the rest of us changed into blue jeans as she wore a skirt.

tldr: she substituted fatty smoothies for thinning ones so that she'd be the best looking waist, not her bridesmaids(her sisters)
