The fact that it's cheaper for these corporations to just pay the environmental fines rather than change their ways is the main problem. Ramp up the fucking fines to a level that they're actually going to invest in greener methods. Most 1st world countries are guilty of this incessant pandering to these companies for an extra percentage of FDI, it's so fucking stupid.
