Took this earlier this year during the wild flower bloom! I decided to photograph the milky-way under a quarter moon to help create a soft glow to the milky-way rather than it be in full detail. I thought it gave a more ethereal look! The orange on the right side of the mountain is light pollution from Portland and Vancouver, and on the left side the orange dot is mars!

Photo info: 1 second f8 ISO 200 (focus stacked for flowers) then for the sky 10 seconds f2.8 ISO 6400 (star stacked). Nikon d810, 14-24MM 2.8 at 14MM.

If you want to you can follow me instagram or buy prints on my website at www.awayiflewphotography.com

Thank you strangers for the gold! <3

Mt. Saint Helens is about to blow up, and it's gonna be a fine, swell day...
