I think of this every time I pet my dogs. I know I’ll outlive them, and I just want their brief lives to be filled with treats, naps, and belly rubs.

Nah, you have to fight that. It will make you miss the moment you should be in. When you catch yourself doing that, just take a deep breath and go back to enjoying every second of it.
