I was surrounded by single moms and as a kid I actually thought that thats just the way it was. I grew up thinking that men weren’t necessary and really didn’t want to be around anyway. Its interesting that now every single guy friend I have is an amazing dad, including my brother, and its awesome

My son is doing this for his daughters’ brother. Same baby mama, different dad. (Biological dad is disinterested at best) My son shows up at EVERY football practice,EVERY game, EVERY event that suggests a parent participate. ( 33 yo Sons’ father was nonexistent.) Instead of favoring his own daughter, he has included this young man as if he were his, He calls this boy his son, and this boy calls him dad. I call him my grandson My son grew up wishing his dad would come to his ball games, his soccer games, his wrestling meets. His dad never did. Instead of being bitter, he chose to stop that toxic legacy. Prouder than I could ever imagine.
