At least he was brave enough to attempt. In 5th grade I (a guy) got a perfumed and decorated card in the door from a 'secret admirer' that told me to meet her at school (just down the street, this was Saturday). I assumed it was a trick by some of the girls that lived down the street...was right. They just wanted to see me ride by on the way to school. Didn't really bolster the confidence for a while, def never tried much on approaching anyone for a few years.
Edit: I appreciate the words of encouragement from those who had them! I'm doing fine now. I wish nothing ill against them at all...but sometimes it is fun to imagine they're single moms selling oils and bad jewelry now.
