In al fairness no kid wants to be thought of as their dads replacement or even compared to their father. What if he’s not good enough they will expect lebron and be dissatisfied with the dollar store brand, what if he’s better? Then he ruins his dads reputation. He should be his own person judged by his own skills
Lebron himself did say that one of his greatest regrets in his life was naming his son Jr. for this exact reason. It's in an interview somewhere and I'm at work so I can't link it right now, but it was pretty recent.
