Making the Nightmare Before Christmas must have been realizing his childhood dreams for Burton.

A few years back the MoMA in New York exhibited the works of Tim Burton. It had some of his childhood drawings, where it was clear that he developed his creepy inimitable style very early on.

One of his first jobs was as an animator at Disney, but they eventually fired him because they found his work just too darn weird.

If you like Tim Burton, check out the shorts he did during the few years he was there. Vincent was my favorite, and I think it’s available on YouTube.
