If you’re into creepy crawlies with skull masks, you should check out the Nephila Clavipes. They have this kind of ‘skeletor mask’ on them. I’m currently working with a UVA evolutionary biology education program where we’re working on a publishable study on these orb weavers with high school students. Here’s a slo-mo video of one catching it’s prey.
